The Central Savannah River Section members are from Augusta, GA, Aiken, SC and the counties of Burke, Columbia, McDuffie, and Lincoln in Georgia and Aiken, Edgefield and McCormick in SC.


  • URGENT!!!! The SC Council of Engineering and Surveying (SCCESS) is seeking applicants to interview and then to recommend to Governor Haley to fill two vacancies on the South Carolina State Board of Registration for Professional Engineers and Surveyors.

    Make plans to attend the September section meeting! This will be on Tuesday September 13, 2016 at 6pm at the Cotton Room, Enterprise Mill Court Yard, 1450 Greene Street, Augusta.

    The evening's topic will be Reasons for Standby Power Generation from the Electrical Code Perspective. The various articles and requirements covering standby power generation will be examined and explained.

    SPEAKER: John Sharpe of Generac

    John is a 1991 graduate of Virginia Tech in Industrial and Systems Engineering. He has worked in the Caterpillar dealer network in VA, NC and AZ. With power generation as the basis for his work, John has filled many roles within dealerships, including Project Manager, Sales Engineer, Rental Manager and Operations Manager. He's also a certified Six Sigma Black Belt for process improvement. John joined Gererac in 2012 and is the Power Solutions Manager for the East Coast.
