About Us
The Portugal Section of the IEEE Power and Energy Society (PES) aims to serve its members by organizing and providing technical, educational, and professional meetings and seminars, forums, symposia and conferences presented by experienced speakers and distinguished speakers lecturers.
The IEEE Portugal PES Section mainly focused on electric power and energy conversion, merging technologies and the latest technological developments in the electric power industry, as well as educating members of the industry and the general public.

Objectives
In the current “Energy Transition” paradigm, the IEEE Portugal PES Section can play an important role among its industrial-academic members and other IEEE Portugal sections. The main objectives are to:
a) Train/guide the new generation of engineers;
b) Promote the debate through workshops and conferences, and;
c) Promote collaborative teamwork among our academic and industrial members and engage the next generation of students and young professionals.
